Crafted Energy came to fruition initially through separate, but simultaneous ‘aha’ moments between long-time friends Darshan Shah, MD & Zach Olschwanger and childhood friends, Ryan Naboshek & Zach Olschwanger in 2014. Despite entire grocery store aisles dedicated to energy + health bars, Darshan, Ryan, and Zach all recognized a glaring gap in the available offerings.

• A product that wasn’t just a ”me too!” focus on unique flavor profiles and/or capitalizing off the latest dietary trend. This didn't exist…

Leveraging Darshan Shah's extensive background in Integrative and Holistic Medicine and Zach's passion for clean sports nutrition, we began discussing ways in which we could address the functional nutrition and sport-specific gap in the otherwise crowded energy bar market.

We wanted to challenge the ‘one-size-fits-all’ energy bar and develop a product that was unique to a specific activity because we understood that all activities require something different from the body. This represents the underlying theme that CRAFTED continues to operate with today.
